MWALLT's Mission:
- To gather information with respect to a broad ranges of issues, from equipment, supplies and vendors, to operating policies and procedures, to trends and research
- To assist and encourage individuals in the 12-state area, particularly those who are new to the directing of language labs
- To sponsor joint activities and projects, including influencing our national/international group (IALLT), through representation of the views of the regional membership

 MWALLT is a regional affiliate of IALLT (International Association for Language Learning Technology), established in 1965, a professional organization dedicated to promoting effective uses of media centers for language teaching, learning, and research.
